LOST BOOKS OF THE BIBLE
The lost books of the bible are they worthy of reading? Well that is a personal decision each one of us should make for ourselves, however we should never place our faith in a man, nor should we let them make importance discision for us regarding our faith
More importantly we should remember God does not live in fear, we human do, God has given us the free will to choose to love Him or not. He does sit in heaven fearing that the intelligence He has given us will mislead us, no! He invites all humans to serach for Him that He might be found.
Rather or not the lost books of the bible are inspired no human being can say they are or there not. What we do know is if your search for God has lead you here then perhaps something within these lost books will strengthen your faith in knowing our Heavenly Father's love for you in a better way.
1.) Abdias Prophecy ABDIAS, whose name is interpreted THE SERVANT OF THE LORD, is believed to have prophesied about the
same time as OSEE, JOEL, and AMOS: though some of the Hebrews, who believe him to be the same with
ACHAB’s steward, make him much more ancient. His prophecy is the shortest of any in number of words, but
yields to none, says ST. JEROME, in the sublimity of mysteries. It contains but one chapter.
2.) Inscription of Abercius Quasten gives this translation in Patrology, v. 1, p. 172.
3. ) Letter of Christ and Abgarus; Our earliest Greek text of these -which are found in many forms- is that given by Eusebius in his
Ecclesiastical History (i. 13), extracted, as he says, by him from the archives of Edessa relating to
Abgar and translated from Syriac word for word:
4.) Testament of Abraham: Source. Translated by W.A. Craigie. From Ante-Nicene Fathers, Vol. 9. Edited by Allan
Menzies. (Buffalo, NY: Christian Literature Publishing Co., 1896.) Revised and edited
for New Advent by Kevin Knight. .
5.) Acts of King :In year 332 B.C.E., in the process of assembling the greatest empire the world had ever seen,
Alexander the Great conquered the region of Palestine. Within a short time, however, the young
Macedonian died, and his remaining generals divided the empire among themselves. Naturally, this
division did not occur entirely peacefully, as each of the generals jockeyed for the position of greatest
power. It is in this context of war and the ebb and flow of power that the present scroll finds its most
natural setting.
6.) The First Book of Adam:The First Book of Adam and Eve details the life and times of Adam and Eve after they were expelled
from the garden to the time that Cain kills his brother Abel. It tells of Adam and Eve’s first dwelling -
the Cave of Treasures; their trials and temptations; Satan’s many apparitions to them; the birth of Cain,
Abel, and their twin sisters; and Cain’s love for his beautiful twin sister, Luluwa, whom Adam and Eve
wished to join to Abel.
7.) Adams of Apocalypse; The revelation which Adam taught his son Seth in the seven hundreth year, saying:

10.) Book of Adam: Translated from the Georgian original. Translator: J.-P. Mahe;1.1 It came to pass, when Adam went out from paradise with his wife Eve, they went out at the eastern
11.) The Second Book of Adam:The grief stricken family. Cain marries Luluwa and they move away.
12.The Age of The World 4Q180-181:An important theological tenet of the Yahad was the notion of predestination: from the
very beginning, God had foreordained how history would develop, who would inherit
eternal life, and who was destined for perdition. The Ages of the World is apparently a
full discussion of this notion, proving the idea using examples drawn from the biblical
text. In the surviving portions, the example of the ten generations between Shem and
Abraham is the centerpiece.
13.) The Prophecy of Aggeus:AGGEUS was one of those that returned from the captivity of
Babylon, in the first year of the reign of king Cyrus. He
was sent by the Lord, in the second year of the reign of
king Darius, the son of Hystaspes, to exhort Zorobabel the
prince of Juda, and Jesus the high priest, to the building
of the temple; which they had begun, but left off again
through the opposition of the Samaritans.
15.) Ahikiar, Grand Vizier of Assyria:Ahikar (uh-hee-KAR) Aramaic papyrus of 500 B. C. in the ruins of Elephantine - the
Jewish temple in Egypt.
16.) Allogene: (5 lines missing)
... since they are perfect individuals and dwell all together, joined with the mind, the
guardian which I provided, who taught you (sg.). And it is the power that exists within
you that often extended itself as word from the Triple-Powered One, that One of all
those who truly exist with the Immeasurable One, the eternal Light of the Knowledge
that appeared, the male virginal Youth, the first of the Aeons from a unique triplepowered
Aeon, the Triple-Powered-One who truly exists, for when he was stilled, was
extended and when he was extended, he became complete and he received power from
all of them. He knows himself and the perfect Invisible Spirit. And he came to be in an
Aeon who knows that she knows That One.
17.) Acts of Andrew Matthias:It was long thought that this must be an episode from the old Acts of Andrew: but Flamion's study of
that book has finally made it clear that there is no place for the tale in those Acts: and that our story is
an early member of that which we call the Egyptian cycle: it is a tale of wonder with no doctrinal
purpose.

18.) On the Anointing:[....] according to [....] the type of [...] see him. It is fitting for you at this time to send thy
Son Jesus Christ and anoint us so we might be able to trample upon the snakes and the
heads of the scorpions and all the power of the Devil since he is a shepherd of the seed.
19.) Apelles:Therefore they (the followers of Marcion, the Marcionites) have ceased to agree among
themselves, maintaining inconsistent opinions. One of their herd is Apelles, who is
reverenced for his life and old age. He admits that there is one Principle but says that the
prophecies are of an opposing spirit, and he was persuaded by the utterances of a possessed
maiden named Philoumena.

25.) Aristides of Athens: Like Quadratus, Aristides is said to have presented his apology to Hadrian (c. 117-138 CE).
26.) The Letter of Aristeas:Since I have collected Material for a memorable history of my visit to Eleazar the High priest of the
27.) The Apology of Aristides, mentioned by Eusebius, St. Jerome, and other ancient writers and said to have been the inspiration for the great works of St. Justin Martyr, was considered lost until the late Nineteenth Century, when an Armenian fragment was discovered. Then in 1889 the
full text in Syriac translation was found in the library of St. Catherine's in the Sinai. Ironically, it was
then realized that the work had never been lost at all: a slightly shortened version of it had been
preserved in the well-known Life of St. Barlaam of India, by St. John of Damascus. (Since the
28.) Aristro of Pella: a.d. 140.] Aristo of Pella1 is supposed to have been a Jew, whose work was designed to help the failing Judaism of his country. Though his work is lost, alike the original and the Latin translation of one "Celsus," it seems to have been a popular tract among Christians of Cyprian's time, and the Latin preface is often suffixed to aditions of that Father.
29.) Artapanus: Martin McNamara writes: "Artapanus' work Concerning the Jews is known to us only through excerpts in the Church Fathers, principally Clement of Alexandria (Stromata) and Eusebius (Praeparatio Evangelica). He methodically embellishes, or rewrites, the biblical account to glorify the Jewish people and to show that the Egyptians were indebted to them for all useful knowledge and information. Abraham is said to have taught astrology to the Pharaoh Pharethothes. Joseph introduced better cultivation of land. Moses was the real founder of all culture and in fact of the worship of the gods in Egypt. The Exodus from Egypt is also narrated with some embellishment." (Intertestamental
30.) Asclepius: And if you (Asclepius) wish to see the reality of this mystery, then you should see the wonderful representation of the intercourse that takes place between the male and the female. For when the semen reaches the climax, it leaps forth. In that moment, the female receives the strength of the male; the male, for his part, receives the strength of the female, while the semen does this.
31.) Assorted Manuscripts: In the fragments catalogued as 4Q471 we once again face the question of whether certain fragments have been properly assigned to their original scroll. Because of similar handwriting and a presumed connection with the War Scroll (text 8), scrolls editors have grouped together eight small fragments and called them a textÑ4Q471.

35.) Authoritative Teaching Translated by George W. MacRae
[...] in heaven [...] within him [...] anyone appears [...] the hidden heavens [...] appear, and before the invisible, ineffable worlds appeared. From these the invisible soul of righteousness came, being a fellow member, and a fellow body, and a fellow spirit. Whether she is in the descent or is in the Pleroma, she is not separated from them, but they see her and she looks at them in the invisible world.
